Precision surveying using dual L1/L2 and
Glonass Satellite receivers and an RTK
(real-time kinematic) System. We can put
your project on any datum, including the
Maine State Plane Coordinate System that is
required by many Towns in Cumberland and
York Counties. This allows easy cross
referencing to Aerial Photography and other
existing mapping. GPS technology allows us
to survey large acreage projects in a
shorter turn around time making your project
more profitable. Survey, Inc. continues to
use the latest technologies in an effort to
give our clients precise survey work at the
lowest possible costs.
- Boundary Survey
Perhaps the most common and widely known
type of survey, boundary surveys are used
for locating, identifying, and marking the
corners and boundary lines of a specified
parcel of land. This is useful (a necessity)
in determining ownership of land, which
involves research, measurements and
computations that are in conformance with
the Maine State Laws.
- Topographic
Survey
Unlike a Boundary Survey, where boundary
lines and corners are being identified,
Topographic Surveys involve identifying
natural and man made features, such as
buildings, fences, trees, elevations, and
the contours of land. There are many
purposes (uses) of this type of survey that
include, but not limited to, designs being
created for development or improvements to a
site by engineers or architects.
- A.L.T.A.
Survey/ Extended Title Insurance Coverage
Survey
This type of survey is supplied for Title
Companies and Lenders, and is comprised of
location data, which is necessary for
issuing Extended Coverage Title Insurance,
also referred to as American Land Title
Association.

Certificates & LOMA
Elevation Certificates provides the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with the
required information and supporting
documents necessary documents to determine
in your house/structure falls within a flood
zone. Note: This does not provide a

- Subdivision or
Partition Survey
This type of survey is a form of a Boundary
Survey. The primary difference is that
several lots within one large parcel are
being surveyed. A subdivision consists of
three or more lots that were originally
comprised of one parcel of land.
- Mortgage Loan
Inspection Plan
Sometimes improperly referred to as a Plot
Plan or a Class D Survey, Mortgage Loan
Inspections primarily provide one major
purpose; to provide the Lender with boundary
title insurance coverage. Note: this
coverage is for the lender only, not for the
homeowner. These plans are based upon the
relative location of the apparent boundary
lines, and indicates if your house, shed,
garage, etc, sits within the property,
according to each towns specific set back
guidelines. This type of plan will also
indicate if you or any abutting neighbors
are encroaching on land owned by anyone,
other than yourself. Note: This is not a
Boundary Survey. It is professional land
surveyor's opinion, based on relative
location.
